We are looking for an autonomous, proactive and creative Visual Designer who is excited about amplifying artists’ visions.

You will be working closely with our Creative Director, Apparel Manager and Digital Manager and third party artists and their representatives in this creative role. Your responsibility will be to create or assist the creation of visual assets, including artworks, videos, social media content and apparel designs. You may occasionally instruct or collaborate with freelancers we work with.

Responsibilities:
- Artist branding
You love to help kickstart new artist brands by working with them closely in building their project visually. You don’t only think about what looks good, but also what works to realize an artist’s vision and create a community around it. - Music content creation
For our music releases you’ll work closely together with our artists and external creatives to make sure designs and assets are created, delivered in time and meet our aesthetic and technical standards. You’ll advise the artist on best practices and will either create them yourself or work in tandem with the creatives to ensure a good outcome. - Social media & marketing content creation
You’ll work with our label team and Digital Manager to ideate, create and cuts assets to maximize the impact of marketing campaigns and our social media strategy. We’re known to be multidisciplinary in our design and branding, using elements that are digital and analog and incorporating illustrations, video and animations as needed.

About you
- Passionate about (electronic) music
- Passion for building and participating in communities (bonus). bitbird deeply values its community and appreciates people that interact with communities that they feel connected to.
- Likes to explore emerging technologies and platforms. We like using emerging technologies. Examples of things we’ve done are virtual events in Minecraft, building our thriving Discord community and launching NFTs.
- Proactive social media user. You understand socials and know what types of content work well on the relevant platforms of the day, including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
- Experienced with the Adobe Suite. Well versed at the full Adobe suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects etc). You can find your way in 3D animation software, preferably open source ones like Blender.
- You are allround.
You’re able to come up with ideas and concepts but also have great technical design and DTP skills to execute these in detail. You are up to date about the latest trends in design, music, social media and fashion. - Fluent in English. Fluent in Dutch is a bonus.
- Work hard, play hard mentality. Our biggest market is the US and we work with remote team members. We encourage normal working schedules but the job occasionally requires sprints and calls at odd hours.
- Willing to try, not afraid to fail. You need a willingness to learn and master unfamiliar skills. We operate in a non-traditional way and require you to adapt to our industry. We like to learn and experiment is a part of that process. The internet is moving fast, we are here for the ride.
- Ability to come into our offices in The Netherlands. Although we encourage flexible working times and allow for remote work for a portion of the working time.
- Available for at least 32 hours per week. We're open to full-time or part-time on a 4 day basis, depending on mutual wishes and need.
- Able to start July 1st. Open to a later start date, but from July 1st is preferred.
