Johannes Verwoerd (Amsterdam, 1985) is an art director, typographer and artist. His work is a happy rendez-vous between art, graphic design, interaction and language. Within and outside of these disciplines he creates a body of work that is straightforward, open and fearless, with room for personal interpretation, doubt, humor and playfulness. With a strong preference for the conceptual, he connects art and design with everyday life and creates a world where a condom-wrapping can be a work of art, a drawing can be a logo, and a movement can be an identity. 

Johannes initiates autonomous projects and works for clients in the cultural and commercial field. He creates books, drawings, campaigns, collages, identities, interactive installations, invitations, light sculptures, logo’s and websites. Johannes works for and with everybody who doesn’t violate the law.
